I have a quick story. But I’m also giving you Wednesday‘s FIIT Camp workout bc it was THAT good. Go right to it or read the story first, it’s your time, you pick 😊
So, the smell.
I had to stop by the Studio for a meeting yesterday late afternoon. We weren't open so all I heard was the humming of the dehumidifiers and hepa filters. I took my shoes and socks off so I could feel the cool hardwood floors in the studios and the cushiony soft carpet in the lounge.
I stood for a moment, alone, in Studio C, and looked at the #loveYOURself painting on the wall. You ever done that? Man.
Then it hit me. The smell. It’s the smell. It’s the smell that makes me feel, well, accepted. At home.
You know what I mean. It’s a basement, but not. It’s eucalyptus, but not. It’s light, but not. It’s just, the smell 🤷🏻♀️
It brought me back to the first day in the Studio after COVID. Something about walking into our home, that smell, it took away the pain, doubt, confusion … it‘s like it wiped away the previous year. Or at least let me escape and feel safe for the first time in a long time.
Pam joked to me … it must be 100x now for you (I’ve got a 1 year old at home, btw 😅). It’s true. She’s right. I always wore a dozen hats, what’s one more (mom)? My god. Spoken like a true non-mom 🙄🤦🏻♀️
it was EXACTLY. WHAT. I. NEEDED.
the more life happens, the more the Studio, that SMELL .. hits me. The more I KNOW I deserve it.
And I felt it again yesterday. So strongly. And it changed EVERYTHING for the day. EVERYTHING.
Do you remember the smell? 😍
Anyways… just wanted to share that moment with you. But also, wednesday’s Workout was ironically doable yet, effective. Oh so effective 😎
whats goin through your head now?
